Recipe: Ginger Rusks

The perfect soothing treat for your teething tot! These Ginger Rusks are delicately spiced to develop palates even during this tough time.

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1 cup uncooked quinoa flakes
  • 1 cup sweet potato
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • peeled thumb of ginger grated


  • Pre-heat the oven to 170ºC
  • Steam, or oven roast the sweet potato until soft
  • Mix all dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl
  • Add the cooked sweet potato and melted oil
  • Roll into small biscotti shaped bars
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes
  • Serve with some plain yogurt and/or jam if desired
