Quinoa is an excellent weaning dish for babies. Not only is it light and easy to prepare, but it also works with all manner of tasty veggies!

This recipe is packed with bright summer vegetables, including:

  • Red peppers
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Sweetcorn

You could also add other summer favourites like courgette and chard to create a wonderfully colourful dish that is sure to excite your budding foodie!

Thai Green Chicken Curry

This is a recipe that we’re sure will become a family favourite this summer!

Thai green chicken curry is a wonderfully satisfying dish full of exciting flavours. Our recipe includes broccoli and peas, which are in season during late summer, along with plenty of other nutritious veggies.

This recipe is a great way to introduce your budding foodie to new tastes and textures. You can make it mild or add a little bit of spice for your little one to experience. 

If you and your family are vegetarian, you can always swap out the chicken for tofu or something similar.

Sweet Potato and Red Pepper Muffins

Sweet potato is one of our favourite vegetables! They are full of vitamins A and C, while they’re also a great source of fibre and carbohydrates. They’re also super versatile - you can mash them, roast them into sticks or combine them in all sorts of recipes.

What’s more, late summer is a great season for fresh potatoes! Visit your grocers to discover these jewels in their prime.

These sweet potato and red pepper muffins are the perfect summer treat for budding foodies - and parents! While the potato gives them a sweet taste, they’re packed full of nutritious goodness for your little one.

Pea Pasta

Some days, the easiest recipes are the best. This pea pasta takes just 10 minutes to prepare and is full of goodness for your little one!

Peas are often ready to harvest during the summer months. While our recipe uses frozen peas for convenience, you could swap them out for some fresh ones from your local market for an exciting treat!

These little greens are a great source of vitamins for babies. If you’re concerned about the potential risks of choking for your little one, simply flatten or mash them slightly.

Butternut Squash Risotto

This bright, summery dish is a wonderful evening treat!

Our butternut squash risotto recipe contains chopped tomatoes, which are wonderfully tasty when freshly picked. If you’re growing your own, this is the perfect way to put them to use!

To make this recipe even more sunshine-filled, you can swap the butternut squash for a yellow summer squash or zucchini.
