CORONATION SCONES

Try these delicious savoury scones. They're weaning-friendly, quick and super yummy.


TOP TIP: You can freeze these scones uncooked or after cooking.
Uncooked - simply cut the scones out, then place them in a lined Tupperware in the freezer.
For freezing cooked, allow to cool then place in a freezer bag.

INGREDIENTS

  • 225g self raising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 55g no salt butter
  • ½ courgette grated
  • 80g cheddar cheese grated
  • 100ml milk

METHOD

  • 1 Stir the flour and baking powder together then rub in the butter.
  • 2 Add in grated cheese and courgette.
  • 3 Slowly add the milk a few tablespoons at a time, you might not need it all. Bring it together to form a dough.
  • 4 Roll out gently then cut into circles or triangles.
  • 5 Brush the tops with any leftover milk and pop into the oven at 200°C for 10 - 12 minutes.
  • 6 If you want to add flavours then stir them in with the flour and baking powder.
